The Plug2Power Program
The Plug2Power program is an incentive program available to all County employees and members of the Public who have purchased or leased a plug-in vehicle retroactive to January 2020. There are 2 options available to employees and Option 3 is available to members of the Public. Option 1 is a $500.00 Visa Reward Card for installing a Level 2 home charger. Option 2 is a $500.00 credit to charge at any PowerFlex charging station. Option 3 (available to the Public) is $20.00 PowerFlex credit to charge at any PowerFlex charging station. Policy:
County policy (Chapter 5.90 Vehicle Trip Reduction – Ridesharing) is committed to improving regional air quality, increasing Average Vehicle Ridership
(AVR) and encouraging alternative methods of transportation to and from work. Electric vehicles support the South Coast Air Quality Management District’s (SCAQMD) Rule 2202 by reducing car emissions.
The Plug 2 Power (P2P) Program is a direct financial incentive to eligible County employees and open to the public pursuant to County Code Chapter 5.90 and South Coast Air Quality Management District’s (SCAQMD) Rule 2202. Funding is limited and based on annual financial allocations which is subject to change. Eligible applicants must meet all requirements, submit an application, and obtain approval.
Options 1 and 2 are only available to Los Angeles County employees. Option 3 is open to members of the public residing in Los Angeles County. Applicants may only select 1 option:
Options 1: Receive a rebate in the form of a $500.00 Visa Reward Card for the purchase and installation of a Level 2 (240 volt) home charger station retroactive to January 2020. Complete all sections of the P2P application.
Options 2: Receive a $500.00 credit towards any PowerFlex charging station retroactive to January 2020. If this option is selected, please complete Part I, Part II, Part IV on the application.
Options 3: Receive a $20.00 credit (available to the public) towards any PowerFlex charging station retroactive to January 2020. If this option is selected, please complete Part I, Part II, Part IV on the application and complete the appropriate fields on the application.
Eligibility:
1. Must be a Los Angeles County employee to be eligible for Options 1 or 2. Option 3 is open to members of the public at least 18 years of age or older.
2. P2P Program only applies to the purchase or lease of a plug-in electric vehicle retroactive to January 2020.
3. Complete the Electrifyze Platform, which can be found here Electrifyze EV 101. Applicants have up to 30 days after submitting his or her application to complete the Electrifyze Platform.
4. Complete the P2P Application. A complete application must be signed, dated and ALL required documentation must be submitted.
